Floor Stripping

Our team is equipped with all necessary equipment and skills to provide you with an extensive floor stripping service for your stone and porcelain floors. We can strip and reseal any hard surface flooring. This is provided to many of our customers on a regular basis, as part of the contract, but can also be performed as and when required, at the request of the client.

Floor Stripping Details:

The stripping process is quite messy and invasive. A stripper is applied to the surfaces and is left to dwell. The area is then scrubbed until the stripper has penetrated the sealer completely. This process helps break down the sealer into a wet milky solution. The excess is then removed and the process may have to be repeated until all the sealer and residue has been removed.

Surfaces including tile, laminate and stone flooring can be stripped of all ingrained marks, and then coated with a quality sealant or polish, which is long-lasting and brings surfaces back to looking like new.

What is Floor Stripping?

Stripping floors is a technical term used in the janitorial and sanitation industry to describe removing the finish of a hard floor. This multi-step process uses conventional stripping methods, such as slurry stripping. Removing the top finish from the floor is an important prerequisite for refinishing the floor, which makes it more even and safer for foot traffic.
